Gippsland Lakes & Catchment Task Force
The Gippsland Lakes & Catchment Task Force was established in November 2001 by the Victorian Government to formulate and implement a considered response to the declining water quality and increasing algal blooms facing the Gippsland Lakes.
The Taskforce subsequently developed the Gippsland Lakes Future Directions and Action Plan. This Plan establishes clear priorities and directions, and outlines a suite of programs which will be implemented by the catchment community, supported by Government and coordinated by Task Force.
This site provides information on the implementation of the Gippsland Lakes Future Directions and Action Plan, investigations and research undertaken by the Taskforce and updates on the condition of the Gipplsland Lakes.
